Are performers paid for their participation in the open mic nights?

At Rhythm & Brews PR, our open mic nights are about community, sharing music, and providing a platform for local talent. While we don’t offer monetary compensation, performers are given a unique opportunity to showcase their talent, network with fellow musicians, and enjoy a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Each performer receives a complimentary drink as a token of our appreciation, along with special discounts during the event. Our goal is to foster a vibrant local music scene where artists can grow, connect, and enjoy the experience of performing live. We understand and respect the value of your art, and we’re committed to creating a positive space for music and community to thrive.

How do I sign up to perform?

It’s easy! Just use the sign-up form on this page. Slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait too long! We can’t wait to see you perform at our Aguadilla Open Mic Nights!

What genres of music are welcome at the open mic nights?

We embrace a wide variety of musical genres at our open mic nights, from acoustic and jazz to rock and folk. All styles are welcome, as long as they resonate with our family-friendly atmosphere.

What equipment is provided?

We provide an orange guitar amp, an electric acoustic guitar, microphones, a PA system, an electric ukulele, an electric guitar, a cajon drum, and a keyboard. Please note, full drum kits are not permitted due to time constraints.

You are welcome to bring your own instruments as long as you can get setup and ready to go in the 3-minute changeover period.

How long can I perform?

Each performer has 7 (2 Songs) or 15 minutes (3 Songs). We change over as quickly as we can between performers.

Can I collaborate with other musicians on stage?

Absolutely! We encourage collaborations. If you plan to perform with other musicians, please inform us when you register for smoother coordination.

What should I do if I have special technical requirements?

If you have special technical needs for your performance, please contact us in advance. We’ll do our best to accommodate your requirements within our capabilities.

Are there any restrictions on what I can perform?

We love a diverse range of music, but please keep it family-friendly, as our audience includes people of all ages. (We reserve the right to stop any performance.)

What if I need to cancel my performance?

Life happens! If you need to cancel, please inform us as soon as possible as a courtesy to other performers and our audience.

What are the safety guidelines?

While we ensure a safe stage, performers are responsible for their own well-being during their act.

Can I bring additional equipment?

Due to time constraints, only portable instruments that can be set up within the 3-minute changeover are allowed.

How is the performance order determined?

The performance order is generally determined by the sign-up sequence, but we also consider specific performer requests and technical setup needs.

Audience participation segments will be included if the main performance slots are not fully booked. This provides a spontaneous opportunity for audience members to showcase their talent.
